The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) is proud to be supporting Her Majesty’s Armed Forces this summer with provision of Games tickets that the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy purchased.

The Army, Royal Marines and Royal Navy carry out an excellent job of protecting the WPNSA venue which is currently at the centre of the world’s most important sailing and windsurfing competition.  Working alongside the police and security agencies the HM Forces provide secure conditions in order for competitors, spectators and organisers to enjoy this special period of sporting history.

The tickets will allow members of the HM Forces to visit the official spectator site at the Nothe for some of the highest profile medal races.  John Tweed, Chief Executive at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy commented, ‘the allocation of these tickets from the WPNSA is to reflect our appreciation of the professional job that the HM Forces consistently provide and for their time and commitment to ensuring a safe Games’.
