UK & Netherlands : Ocean Safety reveals 40 hour AQ40 lifejacket light at METS

Friday, 09 November 2012

The UK’s largest independent marine safety equipment supplier, Ocean Safety is showing a brand new barrier-breaking LED lifejacket light at METS.

The AQ40 light, which has been shortlisted for the prestigious DAME Awards, is SOLAS approved and emits more than 40 hours of continuous light, five times the SOLAS minimum standard.  It is also three times brighter, beaming a powerful 2.5cd of light.

The simple low profile design of the compact light makes it completely maintenance free and it has a five year battery life.

The AQ40 is easy to fit on all inflatable lifejackets and is water activated. There is also an option to operate it manually.

“The AQ 40 is the next generation in the development of the AquaSpec range,” explains Ocean Safety’s Sales Director Mark Hart.  “Its predecessor was given a special mention at the DAME Awards at METS twelve years ago in 2000, proving AquaSpec’s ability to design a lasting product.  The new AQ40 range is already shortlisted in 2012 so we can expect even greater things from this new ground-breaking light.”

The new AQ40 is available with or without a sensor lead (AQ40S and AQ40L respectively) and Ocean Safety have stock for immediate distribution.
