Strong Southerly winds, which swept Sydney Harbour for most of the day, forced the postponement of the last race of the AEG 18ft Skiffs 3-Buoys Challenge today.

Winds in excess of 30 knots made conditions too extreme for the skiffs and forced Race Officer Garry Linacre to postpone the race to a later date.

A decision will be made later in the week regarding when the event will be sailed.

Race 2 of the NSW Championship will be sailed on Sydney Harbour next Sunday, then the racing will be in recess until Race 1 of the Australian Championship on 13 January.
