Beijing Gold medal-winning British sailor Paul Goodison and guests will mark the completion of enhanced sailing facilities for the London 2012 Games with a media photocall at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy.
The completion of enhanced sailing facilities at the Academy marks the first 2012 venue where the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has completed construction work, helping deliver an early legacy of world-class facilities for elite sailors and the local community to use well ahead of the 2012 Games.
British gold medal winning sailor Paul Goodison, ODA Director Ralph Luck, Jonathan Edwards from the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG), WPNSA Chairman Edward Leask and Jim Knight MP will visit WPNSA to view the new enhanced sailing facilities which include a new permanent 150m slipway and new race-boat parking, lifting and mooring facilities.
