America’s Cup. Scot Tempesta answers questions about the Sailing Anarchy Yacht Club entry
Thursday, 15 January 2009
A virtual yacht club, SAYC, which is attached to the world's most popular and irreverent sailing forum, Sailing Anarchy, is making a bid to enter AC 33.
Initially, the entry – which was incomplete - seemed to be little more than a poke at the establishment and was rejected by America’s Cup Management as not being serious. Then it generated a swell of support from posters on the AC Forum and the club was given until today (January 15) to supply further documents and a €50,000 entry fee.
Marian Martin e-mailed some questions to SAYC Commodore and Sailing Anarchy founder, Scot Tempesta. Read what he has to say here
