Nico Budel, Single handed yachtsman, 69 years young, was rescued from the roaring 40's after his open 40 yacht developed keel problems and was in serious danger of sinking.

A Bulk carrier was diverted about 500 miles to his amazing rescue when he was literally pluck from Neptune's grasp in the icy oceans of the Southern seas. He was airlifted by helicopter and re-united with his family who had arrived from the Netherlands.
