GAC Pindar looking ahead to Qingdao following eight podiums in Act 2 of the Extreme Sailing Series in Oman - GAC Pindar Co-skipper/helm, Seve Jarvin

Oman, 14 March, GAC Pindar’s co-skippers Seve Jarvin and Ian Williams’ partnership got off to an encouraging start with eight podium finishes and sixth place overall in Act 2 of the Extreme Sailing Series in Muscat, Oman.
GAC Pindar started the week with a win in race two, the team’s fifth win of the 2015 series so far. A second podium finish saw the team end day one in 5th place, just nine points from a podium position. In wind speeds of up to 19 knots, the crew’s success continued on day two of the series, with the team securing three further podium finishes.
Despite a second place finish on the penultimate day of the series the team had a tough day on the water which saw them drop to sixth place on the leaderboard. Ian Williams and Seve Jarvin’s world record breaking experience was demonstrated on the final day of the series with the team securing two further podium positions to show encouraging signs ahead of Act 3 in Qingdao, China next month.
GAC Pindar’s Co-skipper/helm, Seve Jarvin comments: “This was our first time on the water with this crew set up and we are thrilled with the eight podium position finishes here in Muscat. We will take the experiences gained this week to Act 3 in Qingdao and we will be looking to climb further up the leaderboard.“

The third act of the series will take place in Qingdao, China from April 30 – 3rd May 2015.
