PACIFIC OCEAN (April 23, 2015) Sailors assigned to repair lockers 1B and 1A fight a simulated fire in the hangar bay during a total ships survivability exercise aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).
The total ships survivability exercise is the final exercise of John C. Stennis' tailored ship's training availability, assessing the ship's abilities to conduct combat missions, support functions and survive complex casualty control situations.
