Legacy of Support Continues - Lund Announces Tournament Contingency Bonus - Renowned boat builder to offer cash rewards to competitive walleye anglers
New York Mills, Minn (June 3, 2015) – Celebrating new walleye seasons across North America, as well as the start of walleye tournament time, Lund Boats has announced bonus checks to the highest placing Lund anglers on the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour (NWT).

Defining elite tournament anglers from day one, Lund continues to be the trusted choice of the sport’s finest players. From Lund Legends like Mr. Walleye Gary Roach, Al Lindner and Ted Takasaki, to younger “Lund Guns,” such as FLW bass fishing sensation Jeff ‘Gussy’ Gustafson, the Minnesota-based boat builder has kept top tournament anglers outfitted with the finest in features, value and fishability for over 65 years.

At each of four NWT events, Lund will write a $1,000* check to the highest placing Lund angler. Additionally, the second highest placing Lund finisher will cash in on an extra $750*, while the third placing Lund-runner will walk away with $500*. Not bad for simply selecting the boat with the richest winning tradition in walleye tournament history.

“Lund has been supporting grassroots and nationally renowned tournaments across North America for decades,” says Lund Boats Special Events & Pro-Staff Coordinator, Ryan Sproule. “We’ve long recognized the value and importance of offering rewards to our loyal customers and tournament anglers—and that goes beyond just building them the most fishable boat in the industry. Lund Boats’ contingency rewards reflect our company's history of supporting our anglers, as well as our commitment and connection to the tournament community.”

Adds perennial walleye winner Ted Takasaki, “To put it simply, Lund Boats are built tournament tough. My Pro-V gives me the confidence to handle the most severe conditions and keep me on the fish at all times. Whether riding out Lake Erie back-breakers, or icy Dakota rip-curls, my Lund is comfortable, safe and rock solid. After all these years, these boats still give me the smoothest ride, the best boat control and the most features of any boat you’ll find on any tournament trail in North America.”

*To activate Lund Boats’ tournament contingency bonuses, each tournament requires a minimum field of 65 boats/teams. Qualifying anglers must fish from a 2011 or newer model Lund Boat throughout the event.
