CREW MOVE ABOARD BRINGS LIFE TO LPD 17 - U.S. Navy Sailors completed a much-anticipated evolution this
week as they moved aboard the first ship of the San Antonio (LPD 17) Class of amphibious transport
dock ships being built at the Northrop Grumman Corporation's Ship Systems sector, headquartered in
Pascagoula, Miss. Sailors assumed their regular duties such as standing watches, preparing meals for
the crew and, as these three Sailors are seen doing here, checking the ship's mooring lines as part of
regular maintenance and safety checks.
